One Page Speaker Profile

By February 12, 2025No Comments

As I noted in my yearly reflection blog post, marketing is

an area that I could/should/can do better – or at least be significantly more intentional about.  So I thought I would do a bit of a series on things that I’m experimenting with.  The first marketing asset:  The One Page Speaker Profile

Why did I create it:  Typically, I get my speaking opportunities one of two ways.  Direct requests (they know me) & submitting in submissions systems (when they know my name).  When I’ve attempted to submit to conferences/communities where I am not established speaker, my acceptance is non-existent.  I can’t expect reviewers/organizers to google me, etc.  Was there a way to give a visual summary that gives a glimpse into who I am and what I do.

How I created it:  After looking at several formats/examples, I used Canva to help me finalize a format.  And then probably over analyzed which photos and testimonials to use.

What surprised me:  I’m now considering doing a One Page Advisor Profile (not specific to speaking).  I really liked this much more than a resume of sorts.

Do you have a One Page Speaker Profile?  In what ways do you use it for marketing?
