Unfortunately, saying thank you seems to be an after thought more and more. So at least once a month, I will take a few minutes to publicly appreciate someone that has had an impact on me.

This round:  Dallas Hinesly

I met Dallas a few years ago during a Humanizing Work event for Agile For All clients.  I remember instantly being drawn to her energy and knowledge.  So when she approached me asking if I would be willing to do a session with her – I immediately offered to pair for the 2018 Humanizing Work event.

I decided to approach this pairing as a support for her to tackle the session she wanted to conquer.  She decided to focus on being courageous in the workplace; and this topic is obviously very passionate subject for me as well.

There are so many things to acknowledge her awesomeness…she created the first outline, she scheduled meetings to ensure progress, she met deadlines, she  came prepared the day of the session, etc. That’s all great but not what really inspired this post.

She went above and beyond.  I would highlight something and then she spent time researching what that meant and the facets of impact that can have on being courageous.

She brought her full self.  She not only talked about being vulnerable, she led by example.  She shared personal stories that demonstrated what courage meant. She gave space in the session for people to realize their assumptions about courage.  She showed her passion and dedication to why this session was important.

So thank you Dallas, for allowing me to stand next to you during this session.  For being an exceptional collaborator in creating a session that we are now going to submit to conferences.  For nailing the content, the delivery and the purpose. For being you.

Totally excellent and right on the mark! So many people are afraid to lay it out for all to see for fear of rejection. Dallas has a way of making people feel so comfortable they are not afraid to engage. 5 stars.
