Unfortunately, saying thank you seems to be an after thought more and more.  So at least once a month, I will take a few minutes to publicly appreciate someone that has had an impact on me.

dyniThis round:  Jennifer Dyni

I honestly believe that if I tried to write down everything there is to appreciate about Dyni, I would keep remembering something else and never be done. So this post is focusing on one thing in particular: staying connected.

When I’m working day in and day out with people, I’m all about the little things.  However, when it comes to staying connected from a distance, I tend to wait for the big events. I could claim that’s because I’ve filled my day with other little things but that’s just an excuse. I know that because I love that at random days and times, my phone buzzes…it’s a text from Dyni; not about her work day, not about an issue or a request, but instead just a funny thing her kid just did. I smile every time! This needs to be seriously appreciated because despite having been two years since I had the honor of working with her daily, I still feel connected.

So thank you. Thank you for teaching and inspiring me to do those little things to stay really connected in a world of fake connections! I’m so lucky to have you as a friend 🙂
