Unfortunately, saying thank you seems to be an after thought more and more.  So at least once a month, I will take a few minutes to publicly appreciate someone that has had an impact on me.

This round:  For the people that took time to share how my stories helped them.

The irony is not lost on me that this is basically an anonymous thank you.  However, I chose to share my personal stories, the people who shared back with me…that’s for my eyes only.  Yet, I still want to take time to thank them publicly.

I absolutely am grateful to receive any form of appreciation on something I do for others.  Who wouldn’t?  What I cherish even more is hearing someone’s story with the appreciation.  I choose to be vulnerable.  When someone chooses to be vulnerable back with me, well, I feel honored.  I feel excited for their ah-ha moment.  I feel trusted to hear a personal insight.  I feel grateful to be helping make a difference.  I feel motivated to continue to help others in their growth.  I feel inspired to share more.

So thank you if you came up to me after a conference session, if you took time to email me about your growth, or whether you shared your raw self-reflections with me.  I’m truly honored.
