Unfortunately, saying thank you seems to be an afterthought more and more. So at least once a month, I will take a few minutes to publicly appreciate someone that has had an impact on me.
This round: Agile Denver Board
I had the honor of joining the Agile Denver Board of Directors this past summer. For me, one of the hardest things about being independent is missing working in a team. But I don’t have the loss right now. I am getting the pleasure of working with this amazing team of people passionate about giving back to this community.
When you are on a volunteer team, well, it’s not always smooth sailing. Motivations, availability and more can cause issues. But what I have experienced as been nothing short of wonderful. There is excitement, energy, passion, engagement, support and care in every interaction. There is drive and focus on getting our goals met. There is understanding and compassion for what each individual needs. You have to love a situation when you are smiling when the meeting ends. This happens frequently and I’m so freaking grateful.
I appreciate each one of you and the collective that we have become already. Thank you!
