Unfortunately, saying thank you seems to be an afterthought more and more. So at least once a month, I will take a few minutes to publicly appreciate someone that has had an impact on me.
This round: The Agile Alliance Euchre Crew
Ok that name has never been used before but I needed a label for this amazing group of people: (in order of the picture below)… Brian Button, Heidi Musser, me, Ellen Grove, Paul Hammond, Craig Smith. While I was on the Agile Alliance Board of Directors, we often played the card game, euchre. And when I say often, I mean basically every time we did get together, we played. The conversations would range from light funny stories, to deep difficult discussions back to banter about playing styles.
When 2020 hit, we started to play online. This appreciation is for the fact that three years later, we are still finding time to play together. Sure, not often but every single time we get together – it’s as almost no time has passed. All the light to tough conversations happen. All the memories flood back. All the smiles and laughter is just easy. I’m grateful that our connection has continued beyond when most of us have rolled of the board. I’m thankful to have these individuals in my life. And I very much appreciate being able to have this type of comeback to win (my dogs names are Ami & Jet) – Ellen is an amazing euchre partner :).
Much respect!
Pictures from our most recent game. That’s my “I’m about to Euchre you” grin 🙂
