Unfortunately, saying thank you seems to be an afterthought more and more. So at least once a month, I will take a few minutes to publicly appreciate someone that has had an impact on me.
This round: Christina Hartikainen
There are people that come into your life and feel like they were always a part of it. That they were exactly who you needed most to help keep you centered and smiling. Christina is one of those people for me.
We have created amazing memories from London to late-night chats. But those are not what I want to focus this appreciation on. Although, I must acknowledge that she was the one to teach me my one domestic type skill of crocheting.
I want to highlight the kind of person she is. She is thoughtful and caring. She sends little gifts and notes just to say she is thinking about you. She is helpful and calming. She knows how to create a space that is inviting and safe for you to share and explore steps forward. She is brilliant and honest. She considers different perspectives and helps figure out a path forward. She is delightfully sarcastic and funny. She knows just when to drop that one-liner that has you laughing for days. She is loving and investing in people. I still get goosebumps thinking about the pride in her eyes when her daughter was interacting with Linda Rising. She is in for challenges and making quality time available. It’s like she just knows when I need a happy hour. If it isn’t obvious yet, she had one of the best souls I know.
Thank you Christina, for being a part of my life. We should all be a little more like Christina.
