Unfortunately, saying thank you seems to be an afterthought more and more. So at least once a month, I will take a few minutes to publicly appreciate someone that has had an impact on me.
This round: Peter Green
I got to meet and really build a wonderful friendship with Peter Green while I was with Agile for All. So it’s been about 11 years now. Obviously, there is tons over that amount of time to appreciate but I’ll stay consistent and highlight a recent interaction.
I sent a quick small personal congrats text to him. He could have easily just responded with an emoji and that would have been enough. A little connection but nope, this man took the time to not settle and really connect. He called. I know it’s a crazy concept lately. But for the next 30 impromptu minutes we just chatted. Questions back and forth. Sharing and laughing.
That 30 minutes had me smiling the rest of the day. My heart was full and my energy was lifted. I have always known that daily contact wasn’t required for deep connections, but every moment like this feels me with appreciation for the people that I respect and am grateful for their impact on my life. Peter is high on that list and I look forward to our connections over the next decade!!!
Thank you Peter, for making me feel worthy of your time and effort.

Ah Tricia, you’re the best. Thanks for this kind post. I appreciate you!
This brought a smile to my face. Knowing the both of you has been a pleasure for a very long time. 🙂 (had to stick in an emoji-esque thing)
